Living + Learning

When they stretch, when they run, when they sleep, when they eat – kittens are so cute.

These kittens, though, have an advantage: they were born in the wild so they have adapted to that. Even though they are house cats, their claws and their teeth are sharper than what other kittens their age may have – especially kittens born in socialization rather than on a farm. Their momma didn’t get to feed them using her milk, so they had to rely on what she brought home to them after hunting – mice, squirrels, birds, etc.

Curious as can be, the kittens live and learn as they live their day to day lives. When Boog cleans them after they hop out of the litter box or teaches them how to fight, he’s not only taking care of them, but he is teaching them as well. Like humans, I’m sure kittens learn something new everyday.

What would our lives be like if we were as curious as kittens/cats? If we enjoyed exploring as much as they do? Would we be smarter than we are now, or would we have the same knowledge?

What do you do when life throws you lemons? Do you make lemonade, or do you use them as a base to make something completely new?

I discovered my blog is growing. Within the past week I have went from about six different commentators an entry to eleven or so. It’s exciting, but at the same time, it’s frustrating. I’m afraid to get behind on my comments again. 🙁

I’ve also learned that, when I reply to someone’s comment directly on my post, they never reply back or comment again. Only rarely have I done that, and I don’t like to do it. I only reply to comments like that when I know I will get behind for sure. >.< Blah.

I’m making a “glossary” page that will be in the about section. It will act as a guide to those who don’t know who someone is that I talk about in my posts. This way I won’t have to continously explain it. ^^ I just have to figure out how I want to organize it first! 😛 Maybe in lists?

Above are the kittens that were rescued. 🙂 I don’t know/remember which one is which, though. 🙁

Sorry, but comments are closed on this post.

Those shows where the best back then. Zoog disney? I don’t think i’ve heard of that one. Disney need to get themselves together.
I’m super behind on comments lol.

In all honesty i hate cats. They are soo creepy at times, they maybe cute sometimes but other times they spook the crap out of me.
Definitely lists for the glossary.

ME WANTS! 😀 Especially the one on the left, such an adorable expression.

Hm… personally I don’t think you need to get so worried about commenting. As long as you do it because you were interested in the blog post you commented on, it’s all good. Right now I’m trying to get my blogging habits back up again (which is why I’m having this insane marathon), so I’m commenting more than usual (I like getting comments, so I figure I must also give some 😛 ). Still, there are tonnes of people whose blogs I put off commenting on, because I have nothing to say.

Oh and the reason, I don’t check back for answers is because I forget. But if you do start answering here, I’ll definitely check back 🙂

Ahh, kittens, how cute they are :). I actually think we already are as curious as they are… Or well, almost. Just think at what we’ve gotten to already. If people weren’t curious… well a lot of us wouldn’t be here right now, and Europe would be very crowded with cavemen… O.o
And I hate that! When I bother to reply to someone, but I don’t get a word back! >:( grr…. I’ve deleted a lot of people of my affiliates list for that. Oh, that reminds me! Do you want to be affiliates? I don’t know how I ever deleted you… I think it was an accident.. Sorry :(.

Cats are so curious and cute. I am not a cat person but some of them are so adorable and I love their adventurousness.

I’d much rather comment on people’s blogs than on my own… I only do it on my own if the person doesn’t have a site or something like that. I enjoy reading blogs and I just want to return the favour or I like reading that person’s blog. Do you make sure that visitors get notified by email when you respond to their comment? Some people just comment for a comment back but don’t understand the etiquette that is to comment on the person’s blog… NOT JUST IGNORE IT. Yep, had to write that in caps.

I don’t know what I do with life; I just sort of take it as it comes, but I’m also cautious of where I step and what I do.

I was going to make a similar sort of page but a lot of people know my blogs and how I work by now. 😛 They sort of know little tidbits about me and I guess… they can guess if they must! Sort of makes it a bit fun and more interesting to read in my opinion.

That kitten in the first picture looks hysterically cute. 😀 I suppose you could say that little kids also do the living and learning thing that kittens do when they crawl around the house and try to eat everything, just not “out in the wild”. Or maybe the living room is the wild to babies?

’tis exciting when your blog is growing. ’twas exciting for me to start getting comments just about every day.

Aww those kittens are so cute!

I love it when my blog starts to get popular but it does take much longer to return comments. I’m so slow at this haha!

A glossary page is a good idea. When I write blogs about my friends or family I always spend a while explaining who everyone is.

I love the pictures of the cats and kittens! I can see how you don’t know which is which…they look alike:~)

I was a bit confused about what you said about comments. Do you mean that you reply to a comment in a post, rather than via the reply function?

The reason I’m asking is that I think that this might be confusing to people. Most bloggers are so used to the comment box and the @ reply following a comment that they might miss the post reply. Am I making any sense here? Just ignore me if I’m not making sense!!!

I like the idea of a glossary page:~)

I’m not sure if it’s safe to be THAT curious = There are something better left unknown.

Anyways, from the drop a goodie thing on my site, you received a handwriting shoutout from reece! hehe and she just posted it.

Also, I’ve left a gift for you on my site for participating.
