Raving Roundup: October 2011

I have decided sticking with one layout for one month is practically impossible. -.- Well, for me, anyway. It just cannot be done, you know? But I do like to switch back and forth between various layouts from time to time. πŸ™‚

I blogged for a straight nine days for BEDS, but that ended shortly after courtesy of the Internet bill.

Click the headers this time. ^^ All links open in new windows. πŸ˜‰

Chess

I think that it may not seem like we’re playing the game with our blogs, but from the outside, it might seem that way to someone else. It might not be intentional, but I think that it you have your link specifically listed elsewhere upon request (directories, listings, affiliation, etc.) that you are asking for traffic/visitors/readers/etc., and you are competing against someone else for that one click from said potential visitor.

Seven Deadly Sins: Pride

I worked really hard on this meme. In all honesty, I think I did a pretty good job. I haven’t finished the others yet. I almost included this meme with my #100facts meme.

Only With Me

A sarcastically written post with the intention of being laughed at.

Curiosity killed the cat.

This post was more of a you-had-to-be-there post.

This was honestly harder to write than I expected it to be. I didn’t exactly have any favorite posts this time. >.>

Sorry, but comments are closed on this post.

I love how you always keep your site short and simple. Every good thing doesn’t last forever, there always have to be something that ruins it- like the internet bill -__-!

Blogging is similar to chess if you think of it in your terms. Its a competition for popularity, but if that’s the absolute case, then the site would be… full of selfish terms or full of contents for just visitors. I think that’s where the morons with the “Just visited” comments comes from πŸ˜›

If I had to pick a favorite post, I wouldn’t really have a favorite to choose from. Make everything as good as you can- that’s my plan πŸ˜›

Take care!

I love this layout! It’s so simple and I love the pretty font you chose. πŸ˜€ I used to change my layout every month before I had a domain – it was “the thing” to do. I got very used to it, and anything over a month was long to me. Now that I’ve had a layout up for six months, that’s what I call long. πŸ˜›

I think everyone is wary that they’re asking for some traffic when they ask someone to link back for whatever reason. Sometimes you’re exchanging links, so it’s a fair deal; other times it’s just like a form of advertising.

That’s kind of why I don’t try blogging every day in a month. Something could come up, and I’d be inadvertently pissed off. I have trouble updating my photoblog every day as it is, sometimes I don’t have photos, or sometimes, I don’t have internet access.

And thank you for your sweet comment about my blog posts. πŸ™‚ It is not every day that someone wordily expresses their opinions about what I write. <3

I liked your chess post, too.
This layout is nice! You definitely do change your layout a lot! πŸ™‚
